OUR HISTORY
Foundation
CHEMIR SA was founded in 1983 by Emilio Rodriguez with a unique vision: to specialise in the production and distribution of high quality raw materials for the cosmetic, dermopharmaceutical and veterinary sectors.
New CEO and globalisation
In 2003 the leadership baton was passed to Mercé Rodriguez, the current CEO of CHEMIR. With her, the company broadened its horizons towards international markets, thus consolidating its position as a global company.
An explosion of colour
In 2017 CHEMIR partnered with Sensient Beauty as official distributor in the Iberian Peninsula. A leading company in actives, colourants and texturising agents.
40th anniversary, 2M and Surfachem
In 2023 CHEMIR celebrated its 40th anniversary while officially joining the 2M group of companies under the wing of Surfachem, a distributor of surfactants and specialty chemicals.
